We need your help! Our club has been asked to staff the Emma Lou Olson voting location for both early voting and Election Day. Our club will have a tent set up outside the venue to hand out palm cards and voter guides. Early voting starts on August 10th and runs through August 18th, from 10 am to 7 pm, and on Election Day, August 20th, from 7 am to 7 pm. We will run three shifts: 10 am to 1 pm, 1 pm to 4 pm, and 4 pm to 7 pm, and we need at least 3 members for each shift. We hope you can sign up for multiple shifts
Please email John Hume at johnhume@comcast.net with the days and shifts you can cover. Our club will provide refreshments, and it could be a great social event and a lot of fun if everyone joins in. Dress cool, wear a hat and sunglasses (and maybe bring a water sprayer and a battery-powered fan).
I am placing additional information below from Chris Marino showing the major effort the Broward GOP is putting into this. They are providing the tents, banners, and signs. All we have to do is show up!
If you can cover any other voting site on Election Day, please sign up directly through the indicated website.
Everyone is always asking what they can do to help out. This is it! Your enthusiasm will inspire voters to keep up the Fight, Fight, Fight! Don’t pass up this chance to make a difference. No woulda, coulda, shoulda.
